We are sad to announce that the return of the Ramona Main Street parade will have to wait another year. The committee’s concern for safety for all participants and spectators due to the expected high heat in the middle of August has put our parade plans on hold. August is always a hot month for us, and being on the asphalt makes it event warmer for our volunteers, participants, and guests.
We would like to thank the community for their continued support. We will see you next year!
Our Facebook page offers a great collection of photos
The 2023 Ramona Main Street Parade Application Packet will be available several months in advance of the parade.
The parade openings are filled in the order in which applications are received and approved - Submit your application early for the best chance of being in the parade!
Please be sure to include all the pages from the Application Packet along with your group's payment. Applications can be emailed to ramonamainstreetparade@yahoo.com or mailed to the address listed on the application. Be sure to mail the application so it arrives by the deadline (if mailing, please mail at least one week in advance to guarantee it arrives in time)
The parade is rain or shine, hot or cold. It starts at 13th street and ends at the Rodeo grounds. No throwing of any items, including candy. Absolutely no squirting spectators with water, even if it is really hot.
Entries should check in between 8:00 to 9:30 at the Ramona Library parking lot on 13th Street. Big Rigs should park at Big 5 and all other entires will be staged on 13th street. There are fields close by for horse groups to wait in.
We recommend that each group provide transportation back from the rodeo grounds.
The parade is always accepting volunteers. We need help from 8:00 - noon. Please email if you are interested in helping.
Thank you to the community of Ramona and to the Ramona Outdoor Community Center for sponsoring our parade.
